Both types of tutor are fully fluent and teach with the same DLI method — no pressure to speak, come as you are. A "native-level" tutor speaks the language at a near-native level as a learned language (often someone who walked the same path you are on). A "native" tutor grew up speaking it. The difference is only in where the tutor's speech comes from, not in lesson quality.
Tutors used to set their own hourly rate, so prices varied from tutor to tutor. Now the price is fixed across the platform and is deducted from your wallet automatically when you book — no packages, no prepaid bundles and no monthly subscription that is hard to cancel.
With any amount from the price of the cheapest lesson available to you. A top-up of $100 or more adds a 3% bonus to your balance, $300 or more adds 5%, and $1,000 or more adds 10%. Bonus funds are spent like any other balance, with no separate conditions.
A group has at most 4 students and everyone speaks in every session: while one person answers, the others listen with a task — spot mistakes and give feedback. A 1-on-1 lesson is the tutor's full attention on you for the entire lesson.
